The 60 metres high office building is located at the Paul-Nevermann-Square next to the train station Altona in Hamburg. As the building is planned to be renovated completely, a modern, user flexible, double-shell façade is installed. The office users specify their room climate with an individual regulation of the simple façade construction. Flapping windows which are located at the top and the bottom transport fresh external air into the offices. Single glassed sliding windows in the inner façade are regulated by the office user in relation to the seasons. So the external air is transferred regulated and the individual comfort requirements can be met. The sun protection is wind protected and located within the clearance of the façade and therefore works in an energy application saving way. A façade simple and individual to regulate. Low-tech building equipment as motto for the renovation - predestinated for imitation.
