The Earl of Oeynhausen-Sierstopffs´ family runs the park hotel in Bad Driburg for about two centuries. Attractions are the mineral water springs in combination with medical applications. Even members of the Dutch Royal House are guests of this traditional private enterprise. The necessary renovations and extensions of this object turned out to be a technical and economical challenge. Buildings of different ages had to be modernized, suitable for a memorial and extended by several new buildings - however, with a low budget. This fact demanded special building physical knowledge and experience in dealing with historical structural fabrics. The main ambition was not only to find a technically efficient but also economical solution.
