On request of the client, the 135 metres high business tower should comprise an energy saving façade. An unnecessarily high compensation of cooling capacity due to high energy need should be avoided. At the opposite, the budget for the façade was very limited. However, for creative architects and façade engineers this was a solvable challenge. To stay within the budget a complete pre-fabricated, double shell aluminium façade as a biaxial element façade was developed. Façade construction at a high rise building without any scaffolding! Impossible to do it faster, more cost-saving and of higher quality. With a nearly technically identical realisation of our façade planning, the façade manufacturer could achieve a façade manufacturing time of one week per storey. This speed was only possible with the team-oriented cooperation between planning and manufacturing.
