Various milestones prove the forerunner role of DS-Plan at technological developments:
1981 For the first time in Germany the simulation programme DS-Therm enables the calculation of thermal behaviour of building also for various zones and rooms. 1985 Preparation of the first systematically developed building part catalogue for cost estimation. 1986 First professional operating cost calculations for large buildings in cooperation with Drees & Sommer. 1989 Introduction of the service specification for building biology and building ecology as one of the first engineering offices in Germany. 1991 First developments of double-shell facades. 1992 Development of the first extensive heating and cooling ceilings on computer and in the laboratory. 2000 Development of an innovative integral concept for an energy-saving energy generation and room conditioning. 2002 Development in the sector of emulations. 2003 Development of a calculation tool for simulations of life-cycle-costs. 2005 Flush integration of local ventilation devices into facades. 2007 Development of novel high insulating and at the same time cost-effective facade profiles for different construction designs. 2009 Development of DS.ProDat – an online platform for synchronous management of building data during planning and construction, and EMS an energy monitoring system.
