The Federal Chamber of Engineers (Bundesingenieurkammer) and the Association of Consulting Engineers (Verband Beratender Ingenieure) nominated the Bremerhaven Harbour Bridge for the 2010 Bridge Construction Award. The award recognizes outstanding engineering services in the field of bridge construction. The accessible and rotable structure connects the city of Bremerhaven with sights of the old harbor in an architectural spectacular way. For the 42 m long glass tube 330 individual glass panels and 300 tons of steel have been used for the construction.
DS-Plan was involved in the great success of the Harbour Bridge and supported WTM Engineers GmbH Hamburg with energy design and facade system consulting services.
