I.F.I. arranges fire simulation for Luxembourg traffic tunnel

Fire simulation is an important measure for controlling the functionality of security concepts. Therefore the I.F.I. fire experts simulated a case of emergency in the “Gousselerbierg” traffic tunnel in Luxembourg.

The experts lit a crashed vehicle by using a gas burner inside the traffic tunnel. Ventilators diffused the smoke emissions. The result was convincing since all smoke emissions vanished within a few minutes, so the functionality of all security appliances had been proved successfully.
