Sustainability and energy efficiency enormously influence the life cycle management of facilities. The special panel „Climate Protection“ deals with the topics energy saving and CO2-reduction.

Dr.-Ing. Michael Bauer is member of the board of directors of DS-Plan AG, the expert team for innovative energy concepts of Drees & Sommer group. In his speech „The Influence of Green Buildings on the Future Property Market“, he will present modern Green Building concepts. Hereby he defines the potentials of new and efficient technologies and processes, which will reduce the future use of energy and resources strongly. Responsibility for nature and the usage of non-polluting energy supplies are the major challenges of the future. Ecological and economical criteria have to be combined since a lower need of energy means fewer costs and a positive eco-rating. This positively influences the marketing of facilities. The ambition of the ILM is to bring decision makers together with operators for an interactive exchange of knowledge. The ILM 2007 is the third of it’s kind and is one of the most important conference of the German property branch.
